Temporal Sequences in Boolean Networks
Timothy L. H. Watkin, David C. Sherrington · Europhysics Letters (EPL) · 1991
It is shown that a recursive network of logic devices may recall a sequence of memories. We propose a "majority channel rule" to set the Boolean functions and find that in the limit of large but dilute connectivity c of the nodes, the network may store of the order of (3/4) c / c 2 patterns. In this limit it is possible to exactly predict and control all the temporal characteristics of retrieval.
