Comparison of the Bárány Noise-Box and a New Electronic Masking Device for Spoken Voice Tests

The efficiency of the masking effect of a new electronic masking device for use in spoken voice tests is determined and compared with the Bárány noise-box. The electronic noise-box was found to give a better masking effect and to permit less cross-masking than the Bárány instrument.
