Stego Scrubbing A New Direction for Image Steganography

Ira S. Moskowitz, Patricia A. Lafferty, Farid E Ahmed · 2007

We propose a new method for dealing with steganography. Instead of simply attempting to find the steganography, we propose an architecture that will remove the steganography, we call this stego scrubbing. This paper describes our philosophy and lays the ground work for the actual development of a stego scrubber, which can be inserted in a manner similar to a guard or firewall.
