What an exciting time for the information security professional. If it weren't for those who insist on writing dangerous code and then accidentally releasing it — like the guy over in the Philippines or Robert Morris, Jr., did way back at the foggy beginnings of replicating viruses and worms — we'd have nothing to do on weekends but to be with our families. How many of you spent fifty plus hours back on the weekend of May 7th along with your Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERT)? On second thought, how many of you actually hadCERT Teams in place to activate? How many of you were scrambling around on that Monday morning while ILOVEYOU ingested your IT world like a sandworm in Dune?
