Object orientation k a programming paradigm that has gained considerable attention during the last years, especiallyas a principle for structuring large software systems that are typical for the telecom field.This pafw reviews object oriented principlesand describes the main aspects of Object CHILL,an object oriented extension of CHILL which has been devefoped and implemented at Sii- mens.Apert from the elements of object oriented programming i.e. dassas and inheritance, Object CHILL contains concurrent classes.generic classes and assertions for methods and cfasseslobjects.Object CHILL is currently being used for the implementation of switching software in an lSDN-project.
