Architecting autonomic computing systems through Probabilistic Software Stability Model (PSSM)
E. R. Naganathan, Xavier P Eugene · 2009
In this paper, we aim to describe the method of architecting stable Autonomic Computing Systems by applying the basic principles of Design Patterns in the Probabilistic Software Stability Model (PSSM). Autonomic Computing provides an environment which has the capability to manage itself and accommodate the changes in correlation to the business policies. The main intention of such an environment is to render the system administrator free, thereby allowing system management at a higher level. The intent of autonomic systems is to achieve the major characteristics viz., self-healing, self-protecting, self-optimizing and self-configuring. A 3-Dimensional PSSM has been evolved here for an Autonomic Computing System.
