Wilks ([1], p. 153) gives the following problem: Suppose a deck of N = nm cards has m cards each of n different and after thorough shuffling suppose a of s cards is dealt. Let xo be the number of 0-card suits in the hand, x1 be the numb( r of 1-card suits in the hand and so on.
