Use of accounting machines for mass‐transformation from geographic to military‐grid coordinates

Frank L. Culley · Transactions American Geophysical Union · 1942

The use of accounting machines for computing military‐grid coordinates is not the result of any new mathematical or mechanical discovery. It is merely the adaptation of an available means of rapid computation of known formulas. In other words, applying the assembly‐line method for converting data from one form to another.
