On the "Bursty Factor" as a Measure for Characterizing Data Traffic

It is argued that the "Bursty Factor" is not a new measure for characterizing data traffic in that it does not really introduce a new concept of "burstiness," and that it is equally non-inherent a characteristic of the data source as the peak-to-average ratio or the duty cycle.
