Dual Representation of the Green Function of a Vibrating Finite String

The Sommerfeld-Watson transformation is employed to derive the wave representation of the Green function of a vibrating string from its modal representation. The execution of the transformation is not trivial, and it possesses features that may prove useful in attempts to apply it to more complex structural systems.
