Summary: An emerging metatheory of auditory sensory coding
William Uttal · The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America · 1985
As the final presentation of the tutorial, it will be my function to provide an overview of the material developed and presented by the previous participants. Based on the general themes emerging from this session and drawing from the current literature on central auditory and other sensory systems, a statement will be developed of what seems to be the best bet as to the coding schemes and languages used by the central auditory system. At this time, this abstract is necessarily vague but will gain substance as our continued interactions progress.
