Teaching software construction to physicists
Edward H. Carlson · American Journal of Physics · 1989
An ‘‘invisible issue’’ has arisen while teaching numerical and simulation methods applied to physics—training students to write clear and reliable programs. Appropriate elements are extracted from the field of software engineering and applied to the special problems that face students, faculty, and researchers who write computer programs for doing physics.
