Research on Warehouse Monitoring System Based on Complex Event Processing

Ming Lei, Kezhong Liu · 2011

With the rapid development of RFID technology, the demands of a relevant software system have been rising in recent years. The main challenges are showm to be in the design of middleware: (1) the amount of the raw RFID data is huge, so the middleware must own a strong ability to filter and compress data to reduce system overhead; (2) the raw RFID data is uncertain and incomplete, so there must be a mechanism to avoid defects in the middleware. Then we use a technology that can process the large-scale data and complex relationship between data in real time. The technology is Complex Event Processing (CEP). CEP is a technology that can process the relationship among events and large-scale complex RFID events. Based on the CEP, we, take the warehouse monitoring system as an example, and discuss events the rules of event filtering.
