Network-on-Chip (NoC) architectures have emerged as a new System-on-Chip (SoC) design paradigm in last few years. As the feature size continues to shrink, transient failures of on-chip network links are becoming a critical issue. To address this, a novel Minimal-path Fault Tolerant QoS aware routing scheme, named MinFT has been proposed. MinFT adapts as per link failures while following the minimal path and reserving bandwidth as per QoS requirement of GT traffic in NoC. The highlight of the scheme is the continuation of functioning of NoC even in case of link as well as node failures for different types of traffic. Initial simulation results demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed approach.
