Detection and characterization of Laplacean potentials by a Gaussian model

The computation of the second derivative, the Laplacean operator, is useful for separating sources of electrophysiological activity. The classical methods of extraction are usually based on adaptive filtering or averaging. A model based on a combination of Gaussian functions yields very good results in terms of the extraction and characterization of Laplacean signals.>
