Computer generation of directed trees and complete trees†

It is well known that tho network functions of an active network can be evaluated by means of complete trees or directed trees of ita associated graphs. The paper presents and implements a matrix algorithm that generates all the directed trees or complete trees by a digital computer without redundancies due to duplications. The quantitative statistics of eight practical networks is given.
