Incremental Sampling in Artifact Analysis

Material remains recovered from archaeological excavations are often sent to a number of specialists for analysis. A procedure is introduced that serves as an aid in assuring sampling consistency across all specialist analyses. This procedure also allows researchers to incorporate both randomly and judgmentally selected sampling units in some analyses.
