A markov model in process control

In the present paper a device for automatic control of the process mean for highspeed production processes subject to a stable assignable cause system is proposed. The conditions under which such a device, called a two sided controller, can bring stability to the process are given and a method for evaluating the steady state distribution of the observations is indicated. The analytical solution obtained simplifies the implementation for application, an algorithm of which is outlined.
