A sunshine monitor with electrical output and without moving parts

The output is a d.c. level is high or low, thus indicating sunshine or no sunshine. During operation it consumes about 10 mA from a d.c. source of 7 V or more. The electronics is simple and contained in the monitor and the equipment requires little or no attention.
