A short time ago, in a place nearby, a well-seasoned and battle-scarred software engineer, whose mind had survived veritable waves of horrible languages without ossifying and who had studied the Ada Reference Manual carefully and read the gospels according to Barnes and Booth, set out to try his hand at writing an Ada program.This was one of the first Ada programs he had tried to write so he wanted to keep everything simple; that is why he decided to code a binary search routine.After some thought, what he wrote was (apart from some minor syntax errors) the following:
