Generation of low-frequency sinusoidal voltages of given phase, amplitude and frequency by means of a two-integrator loop

By solving the equation of simple harmonic motion on a d.c. electronic analogue computer, sinusoidal voltages of variable phase, amplitude and frequency may be obtained. Three high-gain d.c. amplifiers are required and these are connected as a two-integrator loop. The frequency is determined by the loop gain and the phase and amplitude by the loop gain and the initial conditions of the integrators.
