Umbriel—another minimal programming language
Patrick D. Terry · ACM SIGPLAN Notices · 1995
Umbriel is the name of a simple Modula-like programming language, expressly intended for teaching introductory imperative programming.Umbriel, like Oberon, is the name of a moon of Uranus. Miranda is the smallest of her moons, but that name is already bespoke in the programming language game. So is Ariel, the original name chosen for the new language.
