Standardizing the reuse of software processes

this paper. Here we focus on "process reuse as is." It is difficult to capture the real processes in place; there is often a discrepancy between what people think reality is and what it actually is. Our model uses two powerful means to address this issue: object orientation and activity-based costing. Object orientation is a paradigm for analysis, design, and implementation of software. We adapt it to describe processes. Activity-based costing is an accounting and budgeting technique to get a precise understanding of the impact of each activity on resource usage.
