An architecture for field programmable sequential embryonic cell is proposed. The field of embryonics is inspired from biological processes in the sense that the circuit growth and its operation will be decided by its stored genome data. While in biological process the same is decided by DNA decoding. The end objective of embryonics is the design of highly robust systems with inherent properties that are usually associated with the living world, self repair and self replication. The embryonic cell architecture proposed in this paper is evolved from the concept of cloning used by biological cell to grow a bigger organism. A full adder and a multiplier circuit evolution is simulated in earlier work and verified by results. This paper is about the extension of the embryonic cell architecture for sequential logic. A novel sequential cell architecture is designed and an exemplary counter circuit is simulated using verilog. The embryonic cell architecture automation for larger functional circuit can be done using genetic algorithm approach in the future.
