AnalyseC: A Framework for Assessing Students' Programs at Structural and Semantic Level

In this paper, new features of AnalyseC are proposed and implemented to assess student programming assignments in order to lighten teachers' assessment work and assist students in learning. Applied with software metrics, compiler optimization and visualization techniques, AnalyseC has been designed to automatically assess programming assignments written in C language at structural and semantic level. It is designed as a auxiliary tool for students in the data structure assignment system and has been implemented in Java. AnalyseC tested with specific data structure programming assignments, the test result is promising.
