Enterprise biometric integration under the microscope

While biometrics is a well-established business model, integrating the various technologies – be they fingerprint, palm, facial or iris/retinal – into the enterprise is still very much in its infancy. Systems integrators are approaching this not inconsiderable task in a variety of ways and some players advise going down the open source route in order to minimise the coding plus development costs, as well as maximising flexibility.
