Computer aids to code checking
Ira C. Diehm · 1952
When a complex routine is tried on a computer for the first time, it is seldom found to be free from error. The trend toward automatic performance of the clerical parts of the coding process should reduce the number of coding errors. This mechanization of coding is the subject of several methods of eliminating errors before going to the computer. On the other hand, our machines are intended to help to eliminate such drudgeries, so that we are interested in how the machines themselves can be used to analyze coding errors.
