Auditory-Process Models
J. C. R. Licklider · The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America · 1962
This paper is a re-examination of the sector of auditory theory concerned with periodicity pitch, binaural localization, and the Huggins phenomenon. Several alternative formulations are compared and related to neurophysiological and psychophysical observations. It is suggested that, in parts of the sector, mathematical models must be replaced by computer-program models before much further progress can be made.
