Computer experiments have been widely used in many industrial applications including Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH). So far, selecting the proper computer experiment to be used for a given NVH study has been done in an arbitrary manner. We offer a guideline computer experiment selection based on complexity level of the system under consideration. This report focuses on four different types of experiments: Factorial Designs, Taguchi Orthogonal Arrays, Monte Carlo Simulation, and Latin Hypercube Sampling. We also review various causes of model complexity and propose possible techniques to simplify NVH models prior to analysis.
