Converting for the digital future: it seemed like a good idea at the time

The decision process for designing a new digital facility involves examining the all issues of plant upgrade and reconstruction. The objectives to be met by the new facility must be identified, and the design process evaluated against those objectives. This paper describes the main points of a project to rebuild NBC network release (presentation) facilities, "Project Genesis," describing the key decision points and technologies utilized.
