Evolutionary computing: the spawning of a new generation

There is a new generation of young talent in the artificial intelligence field. It promises to take AI well into the new millenium with some innovative work. Some newcomers are forging the way beyond heuristic and mathematical approaches into other realms such as evolutionary computing. The author considers future applications of evolutionary computing.
