Low cost galvanic isolation amplifier
G.D. Bergman · International Journal of Electronics · 1986
A simple circuit is described in which a dual opto-isolator integrated circuit is used as the basis of a circuit to give galvanic isolation for analogue signals. The isolation voltage obtained is ± 1500 V. The circuit which is designed using low cost components gives a linearity of better than 1%. In some applications it proves to be an attractive low cost alternative to higher performance but rather more costly circuits.
