Dependable ESB Routing in Hybrid Service Execution Environment*

Meshing up telecommunication and IT services is a big challenge to support the evolution towards the next generation services over heterogeneous networks. Adopting hybrid service execution environment builds a corner stone for IT/Telecom service integration. However, how to make them work coherently and assure the quality of service is a key issue in the hybrid service execution environment. In this paper we propose a high level architecture of the environment and dependable ESB routing scheme to address the issue. The architecture depicts how to support both request/response and publish/subscribe service interaction paradigms. The routing scheme depicts how to improve service availability and reliability for the two interaction paradigms. Finally, the application of the approach is given.
