EEGSOLVER — brain activity and genetic algorithms

Paulo Aguiar, André David, Sandra Paulo, Agostinho C. Rosa · 2000

Genetic Algorithms (GAs) are a family of computational models inspired by evolution. This work tries to figure out what contribute could this class of algorithms give in an in-verse problem solving frame: having an electroencephalogram (EEG), finding out where the spots of activity in the brain are. Our Brain is a mysterious machine of thoughts. As you read this text, you have billions of neurons working and creating complex, yet specific, electric potential patterns. We think the followed approach, in addition to the existing advanced analy-sis strategies, can provide an easily matchable piece to the big puzzle.
