Threshold decision for PN code acquisition in direct-sequencespread-spectrum packet radio systems

A threshold decision for code acquisition in direct-sequence spread-spectrum packet radio systems is described. It is shown that this scheme achieves lower false alarm probability than the acquisition scheme based on the Neyman–Pearson criterion, giving comparable performance for the detection probability.
