Revision and action

We investigate the relationships between the problematics of action and revision. We argue that one aspect of action theories, namely the incorporation of an action result into a world description is an update. We develop postulates for action theories analogous to the Katsuno and Mendelzon postulates for update and discuss several issues. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
