Performance of a practical digital system for the learning of signal waveforms

Results are presented for the asymptotic performance and convergence of a practical parametric learning system which is capable of estimating and recognising initially unknown waveforms. It is shown that the system performs almost as well as an ideal system in which all signal parameters are known.
