Some new bounds for Epsilon-nets

János Pach, Gerhard J. Woeginger · 1990

Given any natural number d, 0 1/48 d/ε log 1/ ε which is not far from being optimal, if d is fixed and ε → 0. Further, we prove that ƒ1(ε) = max(2,⌈1/ε⌉ - 1), and similar bounds are established for some special classes of range spaces of Vapnik-Chervonenkis dimension three.
