MACHINE METHOD OF INTERSECTION
G. P. Rao · Empire Survey Review · 1933
The following method will be found better and quicker than the usual logarithmic process in computing the co-ordinates of intersected points in minor triangulation and traverse work. Let A and B be two stations whose co-ordinates (x 1 y 1), (x 2 y 2) are known. Let P be an intersected point whose co-ordinates (x, y) we wish to determine. Let α and β be the observed angles at A and B respectively.
