Low cost quadrature signal resolver

The details of an inexpensive, flexible quadrature signal resolver are given. The unit employs inexpensive embedded controller technology and is suitable for use with linear or rotary encoders. The unit is easily programmed to perform a variety of quadrature signal analysis/decoding functions and is particularly suited to special applications that are not addressed by manufacturers.
