REPRESENTING DEFAULTS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF POSSIBILITY THEORY∗

In this paper, we present two results on combining approximate and default reasoning. First, we investigate the relationship between default logic and the formalism introduced by Yager to represent default knowledge in the framework of possibility theory. Second, we describe a natural representation of default priorities in Yager's formalism.
