Cocurrent Flow in a Bubble-Column Reactor at High Péclet Numbers
John J. Shepherd · SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis · 1983
We consider a nonlinear system of equations that models the action of a bubble-column reactor, and which becomes a singular perturbation problem in the limit of infinitely large Péclet numbers. For such parameter regimes, we establish existence and uniqueness results for this problem, and indicate methods by which successively closer approximations to its solution may be obtained.
