The Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC), jointly established by the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center (NWC3) in Morgantown, West Virginia last May, is being augmented by a number of foreign police officers in response to a growing problem with foreign-based Internet fraud complaints. Since the centre's inception, it has received 20 000 complaints from 89 countries. According to the FBI, international cyber-policing of the Internet “now exists”.
