Measurement of the non-linearity of analogue multipliers

The design of test equipment which enables the non-linearity of analogue multipliers to be measured with very high precision is presented. The ‘cross-plot’ technique is employed, but. two multiplying D/A converters of a simple design are used rather than a high accuracy reference. analogue multiplier, resulting in an inexpensive but highly accurate arrangement.
