An electronic tester for dry cells

The paper describes an electronic device for testing the e.m.f.'s of batches of dry cells. The e.m.f. is compared with a fixed reference voltage generated in the apparatus itself and when it is less than this voltage by more than a predetermined amount an audible indication is given.
