ON CONVOLUTION SEMIGROUPS ON LOCALLY COMPACT NONCOMMUTATIVE GROUPS

The purpose of this paper is to study the possibility of recovering a convolution semigroup on a locally compact noncommutative group using an inversion formula.Theorem 2.1 shows how we can do that for the heat kernel on the Heisenberg group, while for a more general case the conditions required to do that are stated in Proposition 3.1.
