Linked data business cube
Tassilo Pellegrini, Christian Dirschl, Katja Eck · 2014
With the increasing availability of semantic data on the World Wide Web and its reutilization for commercial purposes, questions arise about the economic value of interlinked data and business models that can be built on top of it. This paper introduces the Linked Data Business Cube, a systematic approach to model and analyze business models for Linked Data assets. Similar to an OLAP Cube, the Linked Data Business Cube provides an integrated view on Linked Data assets, revenue models and stakeholders, thus allowing to investigate the specificities and interdependencies of business models under conditions of highly networked infrastructures and collaborative value creation.
