STUDIES OF A STEREOSCOPIC AFTEREFFECT OF A CONTOUR SLANTED IN THE MEDIAN PLANE

Peter Wenderoth · The Australian Journal of Optometry · 1971

A stereoscopic aftereffect (AE) was induced by a vertical contour slanted in depth in an apparatus similar to that used by Ogle (1950) to measure cyclofusional movements. The experiments suggested that as the inducing contour increased in slant from vertical to near-horizontal, the AE at first increased, then decreased, but did not reverse in direction.
