Intrinsic disorder and the early Universe
G. Mandelbaum · Journal of Physics G Nuclear and Particle Physics · 1989
In most attempts to go beyond the standard model of strong and electroweak interactions one reduces the electroweak symmetry breaking and the breaking of flavour symmetries to higher symmetries at short distances. In this letter the author argues that the Higgs field can display irregular (chaotic) behaviour in the early Universe, so order (symmetries) and disorder should both be present in a complementary way.
