Abstract The High Speed Serial Interface (HSSI) is a standard recommended by the Electronic Industries Association — Telecommunications Industry Association. It is designed to meet the growing demands of high‐speed data applications, eliminating the serial interface bottlenecks of V.35 and EIA‐422/499 when running applications over highspeed WANs.
